Beyonce’s back with 4, her follow-up to 2008’s I am… Sasha Fierce. Since Sasha, the vocalist announced that she would be killing off her alter ego and merging her disparate personalities to create music that fused all of her influences into a new, unique sound. It’s an ambitious vision but, unfortunately, one that 4 fails to deliver.

Beyonce’s 4 Leaks Before it’s Time
Beyonce’s upcoming studio album, ’4′, leaked Tuesday morning via Twitter and other social networking and gossip sites.
Somebody’s going to get fired in Beyonceland.
It started Tuesday morning, when Twitter came alive with buzz (and links) that a Kanye and Consequence-produced track, “Party,” featuring Andre 300 had been leaked. Then came “Countdown,” a song tinged with Boyz II Men sampling. Soon after, Beyonce’s newest album, “4,” was leaked in its entirety to the World Wide Web.

I don’t dance. It’s a language I don’t understand. It’s Swahili. It’s pollen. I am allergic to the dance – when I listen to music, I like to sing along and occasionally raise my head, like a dog enjoying the wind through a car window.
